Can Feds Use Sarbanes-Oxley to Hook a Fisherman? Supreme Court to Decide

There is something fishy going on with a landmark accounting law. The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to decide whether prosecutors can use the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley corporate governance law, which makes it a crime to destroy records, to target a fisherman for allegedly throwing undersized red grouper overboard to destroy evidence he had illegally harvested fish.
